Read or Ignore... Forget or Reflect...

In our daily lives we come across many messages on our way. Sometimes on a wall, sometimes on someone’s desk or even a lesser unlikely place like a menu card. What we do it with is merely our choice. Read or Ignore... Forget or Reflect...

During my recent trip to Himachal I came across 3 interesting messages, which I felt  were surely worth more than a moment’s notice.

1)      At monastery of Dalai Lama, McLeod Ganj

2)      Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, Dharamsala

We will be celebrating 63rd years of independence this year and someone, someplace hasn’t even begun.

3)      On a menu card in Manali

Have we flexed our arms and shoulders lately…

Sunday, 6 p.m. I’m home. I'm lazy. The doorbell rings. My 6-year old niece pays me a visit. She looks up… all smiles, twinkling eyes and stories to tell. In a flash I’m all charged-up. My arms wide-open and I pick her up. For next few hours we are blissfully oblivious… giggling and perfect!

Holding, assuring, and soothing that has been prime functions of our arms and shoulders. Hey that’s kind of easy… yet have we flexed them lately?
